dear meliss, brooke, and julie.
do you remember these days?

the days of middle school and transitioning into high school.
they sure where good to us.
don't you think?

now and then...

isn't it weird how you can remember someone like this...

and then, all of a sudden, they end up like this...

happy and in love.
congratulations on your big day (saturday) whitney.
and welcome to the family tyrone.
love you.

Mill...

i experienced my first weekend night here in
arizona.
last night, my roommate katie and her two friends
jessica(s)
took me to mill avenue in tempe.
which for those of you who don't know is where all the
bars are and where all the asu kids go...

so needless to say, i experienced the
''mill experience''
which consisted of...
bar hopping, creepy drunk guys, and dancing.
quite a night.

now, the above wordage sounds a bit negative.
it isn't meant to be read that way.
i had a lot of fun.
but from my perspective, it is quite an adjustment hauling from
st. george, where i hang out with with all my buds at someone's house
to chandler/tempe with people my own age.
(and might i add, it is quite nice to not be the oldest, but one of the youngest)

but i had a lot of fun.
no pictures were snapped, unfortunately
but i've got a lot of other weekends here, so stay tuned...

Miles...

so you're telling me there is going to be
525,600 miles between these folks and this munchkin...

okay, so maybe not that many, the actual 500 is far enough.
i love you guys, a whole lot.
so don't be strangers.
come down and visit anytime.

i hate goodbyes.

So, i'll be hitting the road tomorrow
and i can't help but get a little emotional
(well not really crying, but sad i guess)
as many ups and downs as there has been with friends
(mostly boys)
i will admit, i'll miss them a lot.

we shared a lot of really wonderful memories...
jazzy java, lake powell, kevin's house, kyle's house, my house
julie's house, debenham's house and of course i can't forget ''the game", but the list goes on.

the best thing about these people, is that they pulled me out of the
social rut i had been in after i first moved back to st. george last may.
so through all the good times, the annoying times, and the gaming
i have loved being their friends these last 8 months. they truly are one of a kind.
i will miss them dearly. and who knows, maybe they will come to visit.
but with their track record with planning, i'm not going to hold my breath.

katie has been wonderful. i've had the best time with katie.
she is hilarious and the most ''gangsta' girl i've ever met. ha she is so easy going and she is the best.
i'll miss her a lot! but she'll be joining me down in AZ soon...

oh mitch...
he is priceless.

even though kody's eyes are closed, he is the most clever person i have ever met.
he is the best person to get advice from on any subject.
he'll probably be getting calls from me about random things from movies, music and boys.

zach and paul are great friends. they always have the nicest things to say.
they are amazing. i'll miss them too.

i love brandon. he is the greatest.
he was another friend that pulled me out of the social rut.
and i appreciate that.

i have never met anyone i have more in common with then derek.
i could spend hours talking to him. even though we just became fast friends, i'll miss him a lot.
i love derf.
kyle, has seriously been amazing.
working with kyle and being around him has been great.
plus i need to take/learn a few things from him. his patience and how easy going he is.
he has been a great friend and i'll miss him, a lot.

oh kevin. he was the one who i was first in contact with when i moved home.
he has just gotten home from his mission and he was really the only person i knew down here. well, from hanging out with kevin came all these other great people.
we (kevin and i) like to say we kind of united the group that we have. ha but i'll miss kevin. he has been a good friend.

the original crew...

Transitions

i received the call today.
i'm packing my bags
and starting my new job...

anthropologie,
here i come.

so, so long limbo
hello real world.
i hope i'm ready for you...

4.01.2010

Bonjour..

so, i was talking to some friends the other night, both of whom speak german, about languages,
i started reciting some french words and phrases that i learned from elementary school
and one from the muzzy commercials.
needless to say,
they were quite impressed/shocked with my french words.

then, i watched the movie an education and the main girl, jenny,
speaks french and
wants so badly to go to paris.
i started thinking
'i want to learn french, again.'

so,i have recently had the desire to learn french.
well, i didn't want to go and buy rosetta stone
so of course, having the handy iPhone
i went to the app store to check and see if they had anything.
lucky me! they had a bunch of apps, one of them being
free, so i quickly read a few reviews, all which were good
and quickly downloaded the free app.

after it had installed, i opened it, and surprisingly,
i felt like i did a pretty good job repeating some of the words and phrases.
i mean, of course they have someone saying them first but
i felt like i had proper pronunciation.
it sounded similar to how the woman was pronouncing them.

anyway, so, hopefully i'll go through them a few times a day,
take the quizzes and do well.
then when you see me, i'll be speaking a few phrases and be able to say a few words.
we'll see...

''commet allez-vous'
'how are you?'

"je t'aime"
'i love you'

''excusez-moi"
'excuse me'

''je parle un peu le français"
'i speak a little french'

''la maison"
'house, home'

the list goes on and on, but these are just a few words.
practice practice, then we can speak together...

au revoir
