6 am Dress up...

let's play catch up...

so, since our cookies were a royal flop
(since that was my last post)
i moved on to halloween, for real.

at work, i'm training to be a trainer.
meaning, whenever we hire someone new, i more or less
break them in and teach them the ends and outs
of the front of the house (foh) jobs.
and since i'm training, we were in charge of putting on skits for
our hospitality meeting.

last saturday, we had our hospitality meeting for work.
it was an 80s theme, so we all had to dress up.
i was torn with what i wanted to wear, because it had to be great.
i didn't want all this side pony, jellies, and neon stuff.
i wanted to look legit.
luckily, i have some really creative friends.
i got in touch with cami and jann, and they send me pictures of
an 80s gentleman/woman? named
boy george

(our meeting was a success and we had a great turn out.
everyone dressed up and it made our meeting
that much more fun...)

here are some photos....

look how great everyone looks!

our back drop. neon stars and silver streamers...

rubiks cube and boy george.
(how clever is that rubiks cube?)

the cookies were a success.
they are creepy and cute.

however, the contest that
we entered at our
"cookies and conversation",
lets just say,
we didn't win....
(i know, it had to have been fixed...ha.)

halloween time...

halloween is here.
and i'm loving every minute of it.
the best part about halloween,
besides the "treating"
is 1. costumes
and 2. baking.

while i was checking out
(yes, i was checking out the blog mom and courtney)
i stumbled across these delightfully scary cookies and cupcakes

and lucky for me,
my ward does a
"cookies and conversation"
after church some sundays.
and tomorrow, it is a "scariest" cookie contest.
how do you think we'll do?

Arizona Rain Showers...

imagine this...

on the 60 today...
if you can imagine, think..
traffic.
heavy rain.
and flooding.
who would have thought?
yikes.
