After about a month of living in the Beach House, we finally grew tired of the weeds that have been overtaking our lawn. So while I was at work on Tuesday, Katelin took action. She pulled all the weeds from under the tree and in the front of our tear drop and pretty much gutted it. When I got home from work, we decided to go buy some flowers. We arrived at Lowes and wanted lots and lots of flowers, but realized that spending $130 on flowers, when only the two of us would have been paying for it, wasn't quite worth it. We ended up with a bed of Red Petunias, some purple Loellea's (?) and this other really pretty blue flower. Well the purple and the blue, are just fillers, but regardless, they still look great. We planted under the tree, the Petunias and the fillers. What a world of difference a few pretty flowers will make. We planted from when we got back from Lowes around 7:30pm, and ended up working until we had no more sunlight, so about two hours. We pulled up some gnarly roots, and worked really hard. So hard in fact, that when we came in, our hands were FILTHY. But all that hard work paid off. Under our tree and our tear drop looks lovely...
